The Genew mSwitch signaling gateway is an integral part of the Genew mSwitch product family that delivers distributed, IP-based voice communication. The Genew  mSwitch signaling gateway support the  SSTP and DRA  function, it is a convergent signaling gateway.As the SSTP,it support to transport the SS7 message in the legacy SSY network; as the DRA, it support the Diameter and SIP protocol in the LTE network.It is located on the edge of the  IP soft switch network /IMS and SS7 network, or on the edge of the third IP soft switch network and SS7 network.


The Genew mSwitch signaling gateway allows service providers to leverage existing features and services in the PSTN SS7 network and integrate those services with IP-based networks. Examples of such features include Local Number Portability (LNP), Mobility  Number Portability (MNP), 800/900 and HSS lookup for both wired and wireless phone service.


Due to its modular and scalable design, the Genew Signaling Gateway can support either centralized or distributed networks to fit the service provider’s needs. Recognizing that service providers require both nodal and geographic redundancy, the Genew mSwich Signaling Gateway also combines software resiliency and hardware redundancy to deliver a robust and highly available solution.


TIMING/SYNCHRONIZAION

The iSG6400, equipped with a stand-alone clock board, provides a stratum 3 or 3E TDM bus synchronization clock to serve under various network environments. The clock board works under active/standby mode. It accepts an 8 kHz line clock and 2048 kHz/2048kpbs BITS clock reference source, and generates stratum 3 or 3E TDM synchronization clock.
